EcoVadis sustainability certificate shows: GIG with 88% far above industry average!

In the current EcoVadis sustainability rating, GIG has been awarded a "silver medal" for its committed and multi-layered sustainability policy and, with 88%, is excellently positioned among the best-rated facility management service providers.

The EcoVadis rating is based on the examination of the ecological, social and economic dimensions as formulated in the wide-ranging ESG criteria (environment, social, governance). In addition to the variety of training and further education options and the sustainable economic and investment rate, the sustainable corporate strategy was also rated particularly positively.

To support customers in meeting their ESG criteria and decarbonising their real estate portfolios, GIG is already excellently positioned with the expansion of its ESG-compliant renewable energy services, such as the installation of electric charging infrastructures, contracting models, ESG consulting and, above all, the equipping of commercial property roofs with photovoltaic systems: the further training of 150 employees is in full swing. Further measures, especially to increase workplace quality, e.g. through very energy-efficient IoT and sensor technology, are already being implemented.

"We are pleased that our commitment to sustainable solutions in our company has been visibly rewarded with the silver rating by EcoVadis," emphasises Dipl.-Ing. Torsten Hannusch, Managing Partner. "GIG is far above the average with 88%, so this is an incentive to roll out to the entire group of companies to use our skills and competences in the field of sustainability, especially in the topic area of renewable energies, and to further promote it with regard to the 1.5 degree target with our solutions for the climate goals of our customers and within the company. Because I am convinced that innovations and sustainability not only generate competitive advantages, but at the same time form the prerequisite for lasting success - "We are the future".
